You do see it clearly, Frederick Bott. And I love your spirit as an engineer. We need your mind, your brain. But we also need to see clearly that we’re not there yet. If we just fill all our land with solar panels, we will not have soil for our food. So we DO need to think differently.

So that’s what I try to do. Let people see that we need to combine. We need to think about material use, abundantly growing materials, pollution, and energy. All at once. We need to make products with multiple benefits and we need to focus on basic needs. Because we will not have enough for all our vanities.

We need to stop to see money as our only God and start to care about other values, such as clean air, clean water, healthy shelter, healthy food. And to do all that we need to think systemically.

It will need a mind shift. An awareness. A connection to living Gaia. A willingness to CARE. Giving back when we take. Reciprocity.

And then, we might find the answers. We might find different roads on how to live within the boundaries of our planet. And this road may involve solar energy, yes. It may involve stopping to think only in machines as a solution and go for natural, termite ventilation in our buildings. O, what energy we can save on air conditioning if people would understand that.

Please read this and let me know as an engineer what you think about it? Please help me figure out how we can get engineers on a systemic thinking path. I love beta brains. You will give us many answers for the future. Let’s inspire us all to think systemically and figure out how.

Let’s keep on thinking, experimenting and doing together and we might get there…
