You are making perfect sense, Fred. And yes, it worries me too. There are always more sides to this story. But I do know that lots of people just see the urgency (we need to do something fast and big) and there's is still loads of ego in the finance world. So they won't go for small scale solutions.

My reasoning is that we better get this money into the solutions that matter and bring us further (real nature-based solutions will have multiple benefits and will grow on the beneficial side of things) than waste it on things that drag us further into the mud.

But I might write about your comment. It's interesting and shows us why we need to really go for a systems change and not go on as we do now with big money creating big externalities.
