What I find a big advantage of not being native is that our English is often simpler.

In the company I worked for they liked that. They always told me: Chinese and Japanese people (we had offices there) understand your English well. We called it: writing not British, not American but International English…

Native British is often full of jokes and clever language which makes it beautifully layered, but sometimes harder to understand for non-natives.

Everything had its advantage and I make the best of mine. Your English is great! And the good part is that you can write these pieces with Spanish comparisons.

I liked reading it. I’m not good at Spanish, but I’d like to learn it better some day.
