Not talking to people of all sorts and ranks: I disagree. Most people can be trusted. Historian Rutger Bregman wrote a whole book about it: Humankind.

We told ourselves the story that nobody can be trusted but us. But who's us? More people than you might think. And when you come up close, you'll recognise that.

We all have friends of different colors, different backgrounds or religions, different age groups. And when you take the trouble to really get to know them, they can be trusted... they just have a different outlook on life...
