This is definitely sizzle and seak, Rasheed Hooda.

You definitely achieved what you set out to do!

I hope many writers read this and write their better stories with all of your advice! Keep it coming! The ‘finding free pictures that nobody uses’ article is great. I’m gonna use that tip definitely!

And to keep the discussion going: there’s one thing I would have done differently in the sizzle of your story. I would have changed the kicker (top one) and align it with a tag.

Perhaps Writing Tips, Better Writing, or just Writing.

I would have put the three words in your kicker in the byline. You have more space here than you think (check the titles under the 3 dots, you see exactly if it gets too long).

It will give your readers a better clue (they see the byline, not the kicker at first). And perhaps it will give Medium curators/algorithms more certainty that it isn’t clickbait. That you really tell what your story is about. I don’t know if they’ll look at the kicker for that or just the byline.

Rasheed, you definitely make me think about my own way of doing things. Most of the time it’s intuitive to me, but I like to keep the left side of my brain on its toes as well… Thanks!!!
