Thanks for writing about the Daisy model. Have you read the latest book by the 101 year old James Lovelock? Novacene?

I really wouldn't worry so much. Humans are a keystone species, just like whales and wolves. At this moment, density is enormous, but the tide is turning and all the while our planet still manages to hold the oxygen levels stable (if she wouldn't the place would burn in no time). What we humans now do is create a new species (Lovelocks calls them cyborgs) and he's not afraid of them. They'll have a good function on our planet...

The astrophysicists and bio mathematicians give us new principles (or old principles in new formulas) to build the really impactful technologies with which we can live in line with the planet. It's all still Darwin, the most adaptable species will survive and thrive...

I'll be writing some science fiction about it to give a peek into the future I envision. And in that scenario our descendants are definitely still alive in 2222. Thanks for making you own visions. But please study a bit more and then come up with the inspiring stories that make people want the new reality.

It's like Buckminster Fuller says: don't fight the old reality. Design a new model that's so attractive people want to co-create it with you...
