Thanks for this story, Sean. I hope many people will read it and then see the film by Sir David. All calls to actions are so valuable.
One note though from my expertise. Sir David takes the Dutch farming as a good example (I'm Dutch) but sadly it isn't.
Our world famous university in Wageningen is mostly looking downstream for solutions. Technology, technology, technology. Often forgetting to combine the technology chosen with upstream thinking and nature-based reality.
Our farmers are sadly up to their necks in debts casued by the toxic triggeres of our banks and economies. Auctioneers and supermarkets are getting rich from our food. Not the farmers.
And we are still weighing quantitative kgs instead of building the business case for quality and nutritional value of our food.
Luckily, you can keep watching our country though. Many young farmers are creating the new future of care for soil, animals and humans now. So if our university and our government will join our wave (I'm sure they will, given time), we will definitely make some regenerative impact.
I'm on it! And whoever wants to join these nature-based solutions wave, keep reading Climate Conscious and reach out.
