Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Beth Davenport. I wrote about the time scale as well in my story about 2050.

What I find very interesting is that indigenous people often look 7 generations ahead. It would really give a different policy if we would do that as well.

Maybe the time is right to start adopting such a time frame in the Western world?
