Tech Good for Humans? Or Good for All Species?
Like your perspective. And really agree that we should involve our humanity and ethics in what we do and don’t want. I want to go one step further though. We might take up our role again within the ecosystems. Not above it, controlling it, but part of it. Taking a stand on Deep Ecology.
I think we would make completely different choices then. Choose not to mine for lithium in Chile e.g. or kill the rainforest for palm oil in Indonesia.
It’s a matter of naming the elephant in the room and making radical choices. And the good news is that when we make space this way, new technologies will emerge. Using abundantly available materials and nature-based technologies. I see it happening and it gives me hope…
