I’m glad I inspired you to write about space in your city, Ashok. It is what we need right now. Space to breathe. Space to be left open so people can fill them with their own thoughts and creativity.
Creating these spaces can create jobs. Jobs are easy. We just have to be prepared to think about human energy again as valuable. And not replace it immediately with machines and artificial energy.
City planners, please take your role and design. Use local abundantly available materials to design new surfaces that are beautiful and will soak up water when there is to much, and release it again when there’s a drought.
Create with an abundance of plants and trees and herbs and flowers.
Make it beautiful and livable. And do it with many who will have jobs and find purpose in life.
