I’m a bit surprised by this story. In my country, the Netherlands, there are good tests. Women are called to their local physician every 5 years from a certain age. It’s not a blood test though. It’s a swab.
And I was diagnosed very early on in my 30th. There were suspicious cells and they said to me that if I would leave it I could develop the cancer in maybe 10 years' time.
It took a small surgery to get rid of the cells. And I never had any same experiences next times I was called for the test.
It doesn’t have to be so difficult apparently. But I do think countries make their own decisions if the give it priority or not.
And I do think that taking care of your health this way is much preferable to e.g. vaccines. Although I do think that the pharmaceutical companies are earning more on the latter…
