I love reading your perspective. Gratitude should not be about pleasing. And desires are to be taken seriously. How else would you know how to progress on your path? You need to hear the singing of your heart and follow it.

I also love your description of your roots. I never had real roots in a place or a community. So I just made my own when I went along. And now I’m rooted without a place, just people. But I really think they should be taken seriously when sometimes has roots. Place on this earth and community are important in life. As is offline, real contact.
