I enjoy your story very much, Tessa. I guess a lot of self help gurus are indeed buying into the industry. They are more pyramid schemes than anything else. However, there is something like emotional maturity indeed. Just being good enough as you are. Have confidence. And courage too do it just your way. And if you then find the connection to the universe (let's call it that) magical things can happen. You'll see synchronicity signs that are just for you life. And then meaning kind of dawns on you. At least, that's how it works for me. And then happiness. It had all to do with acceptance, surrender and knowing how to value small things. I have cancer now, go through chemo, am not rich, but I am happy. And the law of attraction does work for me. Just not the way you describe in winning lotteries etc. It works in a more subtle way. It does give me what I long for. And the rest? I have to figure that out myself. For my life. How does a guru know anything about my life? I know best!
