Hi Bernie. I live nomadic with a home wherever we go. We always stay longer and are invited by locals to contribute to their projects. So, we rent an apartment or a cabin and get on with life. We just live without possessions. No more than that. It gets challenging when something happens though. Like now, me having cancer and needing to be close to a Dutch hospital. We cannot afford a rental in our own country. Our western economic systems are too fucked up for that. So, we live with social capital. We babysit animals when friends are on holiday. And we live in my mum's attic. That's rewarding too. I never imagined having so much quality time with my mum at my and her age. She's 87.

But to be completely honest? It sometimes sucks. I sometimes long for a home like you describe. A small place for just Mike and me. With my own little flower pots and beautiful things. But the urge to travel, contribute and experience other cultures is too big still. We often say to each other: when we're old. We'll have a dog again and flower pots... Until then, it is what it is... Our lives. Born naked. And die naked.
