Glad you write about such an important brand. I really hope they will go on to embrace more regenerative priciples in their production of clothes too. They already have some regenerative farming, but there's so much more they could do.
Colors can be gained by non-toxic inks. Or how cool would it be if they would use texture and light reflection to color their outdoor clothes?
And also on material science I hope they'll start collaborating with the ethical giant in biochemistry Novamont. Fabrics should be fully biodegradable in soil, fresh and salt water and in air after a certain amount of time so clothes can be food for nature again. Big ambitions we want. It can be done!!!
Big companies can do so much more than just donate or be an activist. It's useful, yes. But more useful would be to change the business models and explore fully regenerative practices.
In the meantime, I'm talking now to top designers and innovators in fashion. We'll get there, you know. With or without Patagonia...
