First, I want to react here. Then I might write my own story about it. With love, support, and patience as I always do and have done in this publication.
I love Illumination, I never knew my fellow writers here before we started and I see no reason at all why Illumination should be stopped.
What Illumination gave me was confidence, daring in my writing, and inspiration to write more and better. And that should be something for Medium to cherish.
I think it’s good if Medium Staff realize that we never actively seek for claps, long reads, or any other forms of sabotage. What we want is for people to CARE and SUPPORT EACH OTHER.
We want people to give attention, share love, invite inspiration, and give new writers a chance to develop themselves and boost their confidence to shine.
That’s all.
Please read what I’ve written before and please see that we just poor love over one another. It’s something so badly needed in this harsh, unforgiving world.
Mehmet Yildiz is a respected man, published often in Age of Awareness (another very ethical publication) before starting his own publication. He has always been very transparent to us all in the community. Diversity has been one of the pillars. So please, don’t punish him for wanting to give new writers a chance and spread a message of care and love.
If there are any rules he/we breached, please let us know. Let’s have an honest dialogue about the problems you perceive.
