Choosing where to spend the money. It’s always a difficult subject. And leads to lots of debate. However, I do not agree with you, Scott S. Manhart, that money spent on regenerating soil could be better spent on relieving poverty. On the contrary. I think money spent on regenerating soil goes hand in hand with relieving poverty.
It is a wise saying that we can give a man a fish and he will have food for the day. If we teach him how to fish, he will not be hungry for the rest of his life. It is the same with soil.
Let’s give people access to land. Let’s spread the knowledge of how to unleash the abundance of this land by regenerating soil to become fertile and living again. Let’s provide healthy, productive seeds without a business model of scarcity and chemicals behind it. And people will be able to provide for themselves and their families in the future.
I really think this is the way to go. Start with wasteland to make a quick beginning. But also stop land speculation. Stop building stupidly big buildings that just house stuff or boost someone’s ego. And instead, use the land for something proper. For food. For nature. For regeneration of the ecosystems of our planet. We need this planet to function well in order to stay alive…
